Brief history and highlights

La Pacha Apapacha has five original projects created 100% by members of its community and all of them were developed by the director Juliana Spínola.

 

° 2019: “Beaut-I?” a performance presented at the Brazilian Endowment for the Arts in New York City (2019)

° 2019: “The thousand - tribute to the transience of the human being”, an interactive installation developed in Mexico and presented at the International Festival Singing our Place in Aarhus, Denmark

° 2020: "La inconfundible belleza del ser", written and directed by Juliana, with a season at Foro Shakespeare (MX) and presented at Fesartes Festival (MX), International Festival Mujeres a escena (ARG) and Primavera Teatral (CUB).

° 2021: "Tanta Trampa" Theatrical Triptych, directed by Juliana Spínola and with texts by Iván Tula, had a successful season at Casa Womb, with all performances sold out.

° 2022: La Pacha Apapacha developed the project called "Our Home", a virtual play, written and directed by Juliana. The play features a cast of 10 women from around the world and talks about the journey to find our home, our roots and what it means to be a woman today.
